Support Faded Twilight in the 2009 Extra Life Charity! Make a difference!

We like to have fun here at Villainy INC. In fact, the websites and podcast were founded with fun in mind.

However some things in life aren’t fun. Cancer is not fun. Children with cancer is just tragic. Every year thousands of children die from an illness they didn’t choose. Faded Twilight is helping to give them a chance.

Faded Twilight is taking part in the 24 hour Extra Life gaming marathon, a charity that helps to raise money for pediatric cancer research. Every hour she plays will count towards money donated for cancer research. The only problem is that the event is on October 17th and she still hasn’t raised any money yet. That’s where we come in.

Villainy INC is going to be sponsoring Faded Twilight in this event, but she still needs more help. For only a dollar an hour, you can sponsor Faded Twilight in this event and help save the lives of kids in need. You can visit her donation page at https://waystogive.texaschildrens.org/netcommunity/JordanBilak. Every little bit helps. You can donate by clicking the big red button on the right hand side of the page.

Not only is this going towards a good cause, it’s going towards helping gamers in general. Activist groups like to label gamers as trained murder machines, set to go off on school shootings at any moment. Lets prove them wrong. Lets show those ignorant ambulance chasing attorneys that we do care, and that we can make a difference. Lets show them that gamers are people with hearts and souls.

You can find out more about Extra Life by going to http://extralife.sarcasticgamer.com/ It’s a great charity and we wish Faded Twilight the best of luck this October!

The Secret of the Tech Savy.

This post goes out to everyone who comes to us with tech support problems.

We are not computer savy. We tell you this. You won’t listen.

Above is the entire process we go through to fix your computers, programs, and documents. It’s not hard. Just follow the flow chart and you too can be a “computer guy.” Thanks to J for recommending this. More comics like this at http://www.xkcd.com/.

Episode LXXXV: Life in Beta

Why does this image have relevance to the episode? Listen to find out…

This week I was joined by webcomic artist extraordinaire Rosscott. It’s a great episode and I’d like to thank Rosscott for filling in while Walrus King was away. Click the link below to listen.

You can find Rosscott’s comic, The System, by clicking here. Always great stuff. One of my favorites has to be this one. Why you ask? BECAUSE I AM THIS GUY! And be sure to give him some love for his 1 year anniversary. Over 200 comics in one year. That means in 10 years he’ll have made over 2,000 comics! Or die from exhaustion. Whichever comes first.

You can also find Rosscott’s new podcast, The Wonderful World of Webcomics (or WWOW if your lazy and slow and annoying and no-one likes you at school and they call you pizza face and you’re secretly in love with Susie Reynolds who sits next to you). It’s a really good podcast, really interesting if you’re into webcomics (as I expect most or you are).

In the episode Rosscott and I discussed Beatles Rock Band. Not many people know this, but one of my favorite animated films is Yellow Submarine. You probably all know by now I’m an animation whore, and Yellow Submarine is a great experience that stays with you after you watch it. Now enjoy one of the best sequences from the entire film, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.

New episode might be late this week.

Hey all just wanted to give an update on the latest episode. It might be going out a bit late this week due to school and my car recently breaking down. A certian video game (disscussed in the episode) didn’t help the situation ether. It’ll probably be sent out later in the day or Saturday at the latest.

Here’s a teaser for the episode, Walrus King isn’t in it! Who could it be!?!

No Sega. No.

No Sega. Sorry. No.

I suffered through your horrible slew of new Sonic games. I played through every controller throwing moment of Sonic and the Secret Rings. I watched in disgust as you turned Shadow the Hedgehog into a gangster. I even stuck up for you when Sonic Unleashed was coming out and it looked like you had somewhat learned your lesson (on air).

I’m done. Every time you claim “Sonic is back!” and every time it turns out to be a giant pile of unplayable sludge. You say the traditional elements are back, but then you throw more characters and gimmicks in at the last minute. You obviously have no idea what you’re doing and we’re not fooled by this trailer.

If it turns out this game is the amazing comeback of Sonic I will gladly eat my words. Until then I fully expect this game to be like the other mountains poo that proceeded it.

Episode LXXXIV: The Blood of the Innocent

New EpisodeAnother Friday, another episode. I’ll add more to this post when I think of something to write.

[podcast]http://www.evillairproductions.com/podcast/ep84.mp3[/podcast]

Once again I’m experimenting with the sound mix. This week I bumped the background music up one decibel. Let me know if it’s too loud.

Speaking of things being too loud, FARTING! Farting was discussed at length in this episode, and I can’t think of a better clip to illustrate our point than this scene from Blazing Saddles. Little piece of trivia, when this scene is shown on television they have to mute the audio! Evidently these farts are cursing as they come out.

The Times They are a Changin…Again.

First off: NO THIS IS NOT WHAT THE FINISHED WEBSITE IS GOING TO LOOK LIKE.

Now that that’s out of the way. Villainy INC is once again undergoing changes. Osiris completely dropped the ball on being the website guy, so M has gracefully accepted the enormous responsibility of redesigning the website. I’ve seen her work many times, it’s always fantastic.

However since we aren’t a multi thousand dollar website we have to make all changes live on the server, so unfortunately that means Villainy INC is going to be very messy over the coming weeks. In order for M to design the site properly, she needs a close approximation of what the finished site will look like, hence the change in templates. Everything from colors to images is going to be handled by M. Trust me, she knows what she’s doing.

We wish there was any other way of doing this, but because we’re such a small site this is what we had to do. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We’re all really eager to get out of beta and have the Villainy INC experience we’ve always wanted since day one.

Also podcast episodes will still go out as scheduled, and really that’s what Villainy INC is all about.

It only does everything…

Well you know beside that one thing.

Sorry. Couldn’t resist.

Episode LXXXIII: This Took an Odd Turn

New Episode

An episode over 10 years in the making. Alright that’s a lie this one took a week. But it’s still chock full of goodies. Give it a listen to hear our funny commentary on Gay Dumbledore, the Govanator, and other subjects of wonder. Click for enlightenment. Oh and the Darwin Award is disturbing. Just FYI.

[podcast]http://www.evillairproductions.com/podcast/ep83.mp3[/podcast]

Hopefully we’ll get more feedback this week so we don’t have to fall back on our own topics. I forgot how hard it is to come up with topics on our own. Stop making us work!

Also this week I’m testing out a new editing technique that makes it so the show sound mixes itself! What does this mean to you? Well hopefully better audio quality and background music that is never too loud or soft. Be sure to let me know what you think about the background music levels this week.

And now, as promised, is the best clips from our generations most inexplicable cultural phenomenon (shudder) Twilight. I’ve never seen the whole movie (I have testicles you see) so I can’t give an accurate synopsis of this film. I can, however, tell you that this movie is the most corny stupid thing I’ve ever seen (and I watched Rise of Cobra). The guys providing the hilarious commentary are Mike Nelson, Kevin Murphy, and Bill Corbett. But you all know them better as Mike, Tom Servo, and Crow from Mystery Science Theater 3000. Enjoy.
