For the record, most hats provide a sexiness bonus.
That’s why I’m shopping for a bowler hat.
Although i know know/remember what a fez is, throughout the entire converstion on the show I was just thinking ‘what the hell’s a fez?!’
Although I really love hats, annoyingly I’m not a ‘hat’ person, in that I look like an idiot when wearing hat. Well, /more/ of an idiot…
Which is lame, because one of my goals in life is to get and wear a top hat.

I too am not a hat person. I think it’s the design of my head. It’s ether too big or not shaped right because every hat I try on looks weird.

Wearing a hat is not about head shape. Its about confidence. Bowlers and fez(es?) might be kind of advanced but you can start with a nice fedora and work your way up to top hat.
The important part is to commit. most people tries a hat and thinks it looks silly and takes it off. think like this: “I am wearing a hat. I have always worn a hat and it looks the way it does because its supposed to”
you shouldn’t have too long hair tough. Theres a reason that the people who wore hats also had short hair. you need to start practicing now for the British Cast where you will be wearing bowlers.
Long hair and a trilby works great for me!

I think one of the reasons I can’t wear hats is that although my hair isn’t very long overall, it is on the top. That’s not to say I don’t like it. I love my hair. It’s beautiful…
Anyway, when I put on a hat it just bulges out from the sides and looks silly.
I’ll tell you what, though, anyone, even non-hat people, can pull off berets. I don’t usually wear one, but I tried one on once and I didn’t look totally ridiculous. I looked like a pretentious douche, but not a very ridiculous one!
How long are we talking about? Beatles long? Legolas long? its also about hair type. My hair tends stick out awkwardly while wearing a hat when it gets long (Beatles long). if its full length though you can handle it in a whole different way. I have found that a “gentleman’s haircut” have the best feel to it tough.

Ps. Ive been trying to get my brother to wear a beret because he would look like the guy from mythbusters aka the only guy who don’t look like a douche in a beret.

I think the only people who can successfully pull off hats and masks simultaneously are anime characters. They’re also the only people who can pull of blue hair.
While I do agree with J that hat wearing requires the confidence and carisma to pull off a hat, I can’t stress enough that you haven’t seen ME in a hat. It just looks like something’s wrong. I imagine Olllie and I suffer from the same condition. Also I have longer hair so that doesn’t help.

I voted no but now that I think about it, it could be I guess… I mean it takes guts to wear something like that in public. Like a cape. Capes are very sexy to me because of that :]

You guys are really breaking my raspberries on the hat thing. If you all really want it I can take a picture of myself with a hat on. Just be forewarned, it will not be pretty. I’ll have to find a hat first… I also think Ollie should have to send a picture too since we suffer from the same illness.
Fair enough. I’ll take one tomorrow and send it to Dr D. It was a lot worse until I got my hair cut. Still pretty bad, but not nearly as bad as it was with shoulder-length hair.
