Number 4: Jack Discovers Christmas Town

One of my favorite things about this scene is how they made Christmas Town the polar opposite (if you’ll pardon the pun) of Halloween Town. While Halloween Town is twisted, ugly, and scary, Christmas Town is whimsical, bright, and jolly. What makes the scene even more fun to watch is seeing how much Jack contrasts with his surroundings as he progresses through the world. The song is full of energy and infectiously catchy. Once again the animation is top notch and this scene has some of the best choreography in the entire movie. If I had to describe this sequence in only two words it would be: pure fun.

  1. Sir Michael says:

Why doesn’t Jack ever go into Hanukkah Haven, or whatever it’s called? Is Jack Christian? I think he hates Jews. I’m pretty sure there was a General Skellington in the SS army who was put to death after WWII by way of flesh-eating acid.
All this movie does is promote Nazism and rally the emo-goth scene to a common interest.
