Alright the episode is done. My fingers hurt and I feel dizzy but at least you have your precious episode! I’m gonna crawl in the sock drawer and sleep for days!

Sadly this week’s episode will be going out a bit late. WAIT! Before you break out the razor blades and the hard liquor, just know that it’ll be going out ether Friday evening or Saturday. Also know that I have to do a weeks worth of editing in a single day to get the episode out this weekend. The work I do for you people. As I’m sure most of you are aware, we are all about to be hit with two movies we are told we are going to like: Avatar and Avatar. One with Epic, “new-age” 3D technology, and the other based off a popular Nicktoons series that all you children and child-lovers adore.
So I’m starting a Poll. Which movie do you think will make it, and which do you think will be a huge flop?

Some of you may have been greeted by the message ”Error connecting to database” when you come to the site. Just know that it’s not a problem on our end. Our site host DreamHost is randomly spazzing out and seems to right itself within an hour or two.

Looks like Scott Smith over at Slackerz is having the same problems as us. DreamHost must hate awesome things.

Another Friday, another episode. This week WK and myself discussed last week’s episode, an email we got that makes absolutely no sense, our musical abilities (or inability),zombies and our plans to thwart them, and of course the gaming treasure that is Earthbound. Shenanigans ensue. Lots of shenanigans.

While our discussion of Earthbound isn’t necessarily funny, it does bring up some interesting points on vidja game legaletry. If a company isn’t willing to provide or release a game, should you be able to download it? After all the cartridges are region locked so you can’t just buy them from Japan. Thoughts? Oh look. Here’s a link to the ROM for EarthBound. Wow who put that there. I should really delete that. Maybe some other time though. I’ve got EarthBound to finish.

This week’s youtube vidja is very special. You’re about to see the unrealeased beta footage for EarthBound 64. This game never made it past the beta stages, and was later remade into the GBA game Mother 3. Almost everything in this trailer made it into the finished version of Mother 3 and I’m dying to play it. You’d think with all the publicity Lucas got from Smash Bros Brawl they’d get right on that. That one’s next on my playlist.

Hey just wanted to let you guys now that I went back and improved the audio for Tim and Ray’s interview. It wasn’t until the episode went out that I discovered that particular version of the mp3 had fuzzy background noise in the second half of the episode. The background music was also calibrated wrong. Not sure how that one happened, elves I suspect.

I went back and cleaned up the interview quality and bumped up the background music. The improved version is now live on the server.

Fun fact about all these audio problems. When I finished recording the interview and listened to it, my voice volume was absurdly low. I had to spend 2 days of “damage control” to get my volume levels to match theirs. Trivia is cool.

As you all know (because I shove it down your throats constantly) I’m a huge Zelda fan. Well the notoriously loose lipped Miyamoto confirmed that the next Zelda will be Wii Motion Plus. Like I said earlier in my Wii Sports Resort recommendation, I was blown away that WMP (I’m tired of typing the whole thing) actually worked and read all my movements perfectly. I can’t wait to see how they implement it in my favorite franchise. Now if only LucasArts would make that lightsaber game we’ve all wanted…

This year Walrus King and I went to a great party at a friends house for Halloween. I think we called him Notorious Secret on the show, I can’t remember the episode was like 8 years ago. He’s the guy who sent in the infamous “I hate you I think you should die” quote. Anywho here’s the pics of us in our costumes. Click to ENLARGE.

As you can see WK went as a zombie while I decided to go as Indiana Jones. Granted my costume looks more like “generic Australian outback guy” but there’s only so much you can do with $20. Also we have Sir Michael in his Jedi robes, but he wears those all the time so it doesn’t count.

Also pumpkins! Texastechie sent in her pics for the pumpkin carving contest over at Halolz. She carved the awesome face and a WoW achievement. You can’t really see it in the picture but the achievement says “A Pumpkin Carver is You!” which is evidently a real achievement in the game. Great job TexasTechie!
