Although it’s not really our birthday, we definitely get the sentiment. This was made using flipnote studio on the DSi (which is one of my favorite apps for the handheld). This kinda of stuff takes HOURS.
Thank you so much Ollie. This made my day.

Did you draw each panel every time?
Since I am a poor bastard with no DSi I cant fully appreciate the effort in this. I like the style regardless. It fits the style of the show
I wanted to keep the whole ‘hand drawn’ feel, as I just prefer the aesthetic (I’ve managed to ‘make a plane dropping a nuke look cute’ as somene said about one of my animations on Flipnote). It does take a bit longer, though. The opening bit with just the popper is about 10 different frames repeated randomly, but when I tried to do that with the text it looked a bit odd, so that’s all hand-drawn. When I added the end to make it loop, though, I was pretty tired, so I just copy and pasted that. Overall there are 153 frames, I’d say about 120 of which were hand drawn. So I’m pretty proud of it
Then I can appreciate the work you put in. I didn’t know if the “flickering” was a function or a created effect. It looks awesome… Great… now I need a DSi…
