Episode C: Bahzam We Made It!
Holy Crap.
Those are really the only two words I have right now. I can’t believe we got here. Although I had nothing but the highest hopes for this podcast, never did I think it would ever get to 100 episodes. “Sure,” I thought, “It’d be nice to get to 100 episodes. But hey that’s a long way away.” Now we’re here and I can’t believe it.
Here it is. After two weeks of planning, recording, and TONS of editing, the 100th episode is here for your listening pleasure.

This really kicked my butt to make. This episode is LONG. I’ll probably go into the details of how I pulled it off in a later post. I basically made a wish list for everything I wanted for this episode and I got almost everything. Not only did we make a regular episode of the show, but we also had a massive retrospective of the podcast up until this point. I’m really happy how it turned out. I was a little uncomfortable with how long it turned out, but it’s 2 full hours of content.
I gotta say I really teared up at the end of editing this one. In fact I’m tearing up right now typing this. It really hit me all at once what a road this has been. There’s been some really BAD times. There’s been some mind bendingly AMAZING times. There’s a quote from Oscar Wilde saying, “Experience is the name everyone gives to their mistakes” I think this sums up our entire show as a whole. We’ve stumbled a lot. Looking back there have been too many bad decisions to count. But given the chance to do it all again I’d do it exactly the same way. I’ve made this show with so many people and the experiences I’ve had with them has been immeasurable. The podcast has become such a massive part of my life that I’m not sure what I’d do without it (probably have a girlfriend come to think of it).
I know we say it a lot in the episode, but thank you all so much for listening and participating. If you all left en masse I’d probably stop making the show. After getting so much feedback and love from you guys I don’t know if I could make the show without you guys. If we’re the shows engine, you guys are the gasoline.
I hope you like the episode. I’m very tired now so I’m going to bed.
(raises glass) Here’s to 100 more! Feel free to party in the comments section.

This is an amazing landmark for humanity. Thank you.
Exuberance! Here’s to 100 more episodes of insanity! And by that I mean if there’s 100 more episodes Dr D will probably be insane at the end of editing it all -.-
I love the new intro music. That demon really outdid himself.
The music in general is better than usual too. Not that its bad but the volume and choice was spot on.
I am surprised that you still bother with the roman numerals. The romans did stop using them for a reason you know.
And I would like a medal because I have indeed listened to every single episode of the back catalog (in order…)
This directed me to both the system and LRR and trough context the Quickstop podcasts. I am grateful for that in itself.
I still think you should finish the pilot of the Mario Cartoon to end the shadow of failure hanging over the whole project. If the animation is sprite based I might even be able to help.
To celebrate episode C I think we should break the old comment record (56 or something I believe) by making 100 comments (without repetition).
Wow…just…wow.
When Dr. D was talking about how he’d considered ending the podcast, and ‘Getting Better’ started playing, I got a little choked up.
Also…with the way I was pausing, I sound like the boss from Office Space….yeah, bad times.
I was finally on an episode of Villainy Inc.!!!!
The dream has been made!
Speaking of predaks call in. Have TWK seen any of the recommended anime shows yet?
I feel weird that i was the only call in that sounded like crap. Great episode guys, just to let you guys know, my weekend doesnt start properly without Villainy Inc. So, please don’t EVER stop making these
Bazham.
Hey guys thanks for the kind words.
I remember at episode 40 Osiris said “You know we should probably drop the roman numerals.” Michael countered with, “No lets see how far we can go!” To this day I want to see how long we can draw this out. Plus I’m forcing you all to learn a terrible numbering system.
Also the “Getting Better” cue was completely deliberate. I was surprised how powerful it turned out in the finished episode.
And glad to see you guys enjoyed being on the show. We wanted to do the call in segment as a giant thank you to all you guys listening every week. What better way of thanking you guys than giving you the opportunity to be on the show! Not sure if we’ll ever do it again but this one went really smoothly. We’ll definitely consider doing it again in the future.
Since you need the show so much Robert, we’re stopping the show NOW. Hope you all liked the last episode!
I really wanted to listen to this in one go, but I only got halfway through it last night because I’m a bit ill, so sorry. My only comment so far is on the Oscar Nominations. WHY ISN’T WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE ON THE LIST! I love that film. Also, the listener call-ins were awesome. I never knew Pridak was so hyper…
I was more surprised that he was exactly as hyper as I imagined he would be.
But you supplemented him perfectly Ollie. Every time I hear you I imagine you narrating snooker :-p
Thank you (if that was a compliment).
Also, thanks for playing The Big Pink, WK. I’ve been told by a load of people that I’d like them, but never had a listen. Once again, you’ve got me into a seriously awesome band. The other being Built to Spill, of course. Talking of which, have you got their new album? Apparently it’s good.
Sorry I didn’t check the website in time for me to send in audio. I didn’t check in time for Skype either. Consarnit. Anyway, I am VERY ANGRY!!!! Well, not really, but I really want you to do a Happy Happy Fun Family Sex Demon Story Time-type episode, and ESPECIALLY with Osiris. Also, I love the new theme music.
P. S. – I started listening around episode 33, around 2 years ago. I was searching a database of comedy podcasts, when I saw the name Villainy Inc. I was like, “What is this?” and immediately downloaded the first ten episodes.
Judging by what you think about the first episodes, I should have burned my mp3 player around the first 20 seconds, but I actually loved them, so I went to Evil Lair Productions to get more, and I remember distinctly the updates saying, “That’s right, it’s Paco.”
Anyway, 2 years later, I have all of them archived to my computer in case something horrible happens to either website, and I regularly listen through all of them in order.
But I somehow never found the strength to comment until you guys made the worst episode ever. Man, I hated that one. You know, the ones where you became total douchebags and stole every single topic from the people who started commenting. I’m still a little mad about that.
Still, my point is that I deserve bajillions of medals for listening to the first episodes about 144, no, 145 times and enjoyed them. I’m also probably a masochist.
I once listened to the first 10 shows in a row and cried myself to sleep.
Well I have only listened to the first episodes once. With the exception of a selected few episodes.
Tales from the bowling ally, The one with robots and the one with clones. Those are my absolute favorites.
and I listened to the ones around the one with Osiris world domination scheme. Mostly because it was talked about in a later episode which convinced me that I must have missed an episode. Turns out it was broken and that part fell out. The fact that I didn’t notice that half the episode was missing says something about how attentive I was while listening.
Also there must be another Villainy inc award.
Categories should include
Episode of The Century, Best Fictional Guest and oddest turn in subjects.
Oh yeah that new theme music is EPIC. And that’s completely taking into account how over-used the word epic is these days. I mean it! Plus I didn’t know Randy was so submissive to your wills o_O
Well, you see, when Dr. Disaster first summoned Randy, he bound part of Randy’s soul to a little china elephant that his grandma gave him when she died. Randy’s afraid that Dr. Disaster will show all of the other demons that part of his soul is in a little china elephant.
On another note, does anyone know when FT last wrote in? I’m wondering if she stopped listening.
I didn’t know Dr. D could be so commanding. Its a miracle that randy didn’t just start to giggle.
I’m also glad to see the new theme song went over alright. I had actually been working on it secretly for 3 weeks up until the episode went out. Not even WK knew about it. As I’ve said in the show I have little to no musical ability, but I’m pretty good at working with loops in garageband. I was terrified all the comments were going to say “This new song sucks! I like the old one better!”
The new theme was actually what I wanted the first one to sound like. I couldn’t get the instruments to bled well with he synthesizers (besides the organ) so I decided to keep it entirely electronic. This time around I was able to get the orchestra to work. I wanted to make it sound industrial and militaristic, and I think it turned out pretty well.
Also what use is a henchmen if you can’t scream at him to do things for you? Also Randy knows I could erase his existence with a single thought.
Alright this party is getting lame. (pops off cork) LETS GET WASTED!
Dr. D.
Don’t think about erasing Randy from existence.
*Stares*
(Also. Don’t think about Limes)
