Episode CXI: Massively Effected

This week you’re all in for a treat. Jack Wall returns to the show for his second appearance on Villainy INC (third if you count the video podcast). Even cooler than that is he played some of his favorite tracks from Mass Effect 2 on the show and you all get to hear it. There’s even music that’s not in the actual game!

In this episode Jack discusses what went into making the scores for Mass Effect 2 including musical inspirations, how the team collaborated, and how the music was implemented. Great stuff. There’s also some real fun moments that I don’t want to spoil.

First! (just kidding…)
It’s just soo much easier to work when listening to VI… halfway through and so far an interesting/funny interview.
Hmm. Working out and Villainy Inc… About as opposite as you can get, I think.
I don’t think this interveiw helped the wait between now and when Video Games Live comes back to Vancouver.
Also, you should try to get Jack to compose you a new theme song whenever you change it again.
As a slight aside, I just watched The Ricky Gervais Show, and it’s probably one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. I can see now why you were obbsessed with the podcast.
By the way if anyone can catch the name of track I put under the front of this interview I’ll give you a virtual cookie. It’s from the Mass Effect 2 soundtrack
I’m about halfway through Mass Effect 2, and it may just be the best game I’ve ever played. In writing and in visuals.

I’m just wondering what happened to him. Maybe he has a Finals Week. Or some sort of Final Projects Week. (shudder shudder)
FT: Remember when Dr. D snapped, and we got the elderly Jewish man guest hosting the podcast? I don’t want that to happen again. When he is defeated by 10 ft. of water, who knows what will happen. (P.S. I love you Dr. D… in a totally hetero way.)
