Halloween Intro Details

These guys know how to rock.

I’ve gotten some emails asking for details on the Halloween opening so I thought I’d just write a post.

  • You can use whatever instruments you want. Real or software is fine.
  • You do not have to follow the established format. You can have SPEECH-QUOTE-SPEECH or just SPEECH-SPEECH or whatever. Also if you want to give the narration or have Randy say it later that’s fine.
  • Openings should be no longer than 45 seconds. Anything longer will not be used.

I didn’t want to set up any restricting rules for this, but any longer than 45 seconds is just indulgent.

That’s it! If there’s any other concerns I’ll add them to this post. Get creating!

Do anyone know a really simple loop program that you could use? because sound editing is a huge blind spot in my computer vocabolary.

The only one I know of is Garageband, and I’m not sure if that’s Mac-only. But if you can get your hands on it it’s pretty good. After a while of using it, though, you suddenly start hearing the loops EVERYWHERE.

    Hey, Dr. D.

How did you make the theme songs for Villainy Inc? Did you use GarageBand? Cause if you did, I think I might scream.

    hm… first time I ever wanted a mac…

  5. Mr. Timms says:

Yeah… Damn. Guess I’m out of this one.

I think Audacity is the only free option for windows that meets my needs. I also tried ACID Xpress from Sony that people seems to recommend but it was utter garbage. The only thing I need now is some musical talent.

  7. Mr. Timms says:

Actually, I’m thinking the hardest part with Audacity is that you have to find everything yourself and edit it. Then you have to make sure it all sounds natural together.

Actually, making a remix of several different songs with Audacity sounds like a cool project. All I have to do is make everything sound more… Halloweeny. Yeah. Good luck.

Yeah, the halloween asect is pretty hard to get. I’d finished doing the first draft, and was like ‘This sounds pretty good… Wait, halloween…. Crap… FILTERS!’
