Articles from January 2011

No episode this week.

Sorry for the short notice.

I just got a new job on base and got 3 days off work. Suffice to say I wanted to spend those three days playing Ghost Trick Phantom Detective and not worrying about the podcast.

There should be one next week.

Episode CXXIX: The One Where Dr. D and Sir Michael Bicker

This week Sir Michael rejoins the show for me to constantly yell at. The above pictures are mentioned in the episode and will serve as visual reference.

The main topics we covered was Christmas adventures, what Sir Michael received for Christmas (give you a hint, they’re above the first paragraph), and a big old mail bag.

VIDEO DUMP! Here’s all the videos and music I mentioned in the episode.

Demon’s Souls Soundtrack. Great stuff.

The band that sounds like my singing voice. Personally I don’t think he sounds like me. Also why the video is cut to Dragon’s Lair 2 is weird.

The insane child TV character that Light Yagami voices. If you listen close enough you can really hear the similarities.

Games and Merriment Today!

Sir Michael and I finished recording and are rearing for battle.

Minecraft appears to be the one everyone wants to play. However we’re open to more games if you wanna play.

If you see us online in the steam group send us a message that you’d like to play! We’ll be on almost all day!

And also.. this

What happens when Dr. Disaster makes a fart?

Episode CXXVIII: In the Land of Silly Hats

Surprise! This week we do have an episode! And look, FUNNY HATS!

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

This week M slams though lots of topics, but mostly movies are discussed. If you have an interest in Korean Cinema this is the episode for you. If not, well, uh…this is awkward.

Thanks for waiting a month for us to come back! We need some good long breaks every now and then. Here’s some great games I played in our absence-

  • Donkey Kong Country Returns
  • Kirby’s Epic Yarn
  • Epic Mickey
  • Assasin’s Creed II
  • Super Meat Boy

And great movies I watched-

  • True Grit
  • Tron: Legacy
  • Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone

Probably no episode this monday, but episode recording and games next Saturday.

So Sir Michael didn’t feel the need to tell me this until the last minute, but he’s in Texas. I swear the guy hops across the globe every week without telling everyone.

Since I had scheduled him to record for the weekend and he’s not home, there’s probably not going to be an episode this Monday. However, we’re all set to go for Saturday the 22nd. Seeing as Michael and I will be on to record, we’ll also be on to play games.

We’ll be on and rearing to play next Saturday. Although Sir Michael will probably leave for Cambodia for a week without telling anyone. (Don’t put it past him.)

Also it’s official…I’m hooked.

Villainy INC Steam Group and Games.

What are all these games the kids are into!?! Back in my day we had a stick and a ball. AND WE WERE HAPPY!

Seeing that these Vidja games are the wave of the future, Sir Michael went and made the official Villainy INC Steam group. For those of you who don’t know, Steam is what happens when Video Gaming, iTunes, and Facebook have an incredibly hot baby. It’s an app that allows you to buy games, keep them updated, and play them with friends. It runs on both PC and Mac.

You can join our steam group here. Also the URL: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/VillainyInc

Here’s some games that Sir Michael and I enjoy playing that we think you guys would love too. Also leave some comments on games you think we would like and we’ll try them out.

  • Team Fortess 2 (or the Super Smash Bros of first person shooters as I like to call it)
  • Left 4 Dead 2 (shoot zombies with friends and have a blast)
  • Alien Swarm (great top down shooter. Did I mention it’s FREE!?!)
  • Civilization IV (Sir Michael loves this one. I just dotter around the map as every nation on earth pilages me from every conceivable angle.)
  • Dogfighter (incredibly cheap Star Fox-espe flying game)

Also some multiplayer games I have but never play.

  • Counter Strike Source (I’ve only played like 20 min of this one, but I hear it’s fun.)
  • Day of Defeat Source (same problem as Counter Strike)
  • Half Life 2: Deathmatch (never tried it. Truth be told I don’t know how it ended up in my library.)

Sir Michael I command you to update this post if I forgot any games! MY WILL COMMANDS YOU!

New episode this week with possible game playing

New episodes will start rolling out this monday. I haven’t conferred with Sir Michael on what day we’re recording, but since we’ll both be online to make sweet audio goodness he might be in the mood to play some games. I’ll make another post later with details about our steam group and games.
