Episode CXXXI: Another Weeks Worth

New Podcast Episode

Guess who’s back? Back again. Walrus King’s back. Tell a friend. Guess who’s back, guess who’s back, guess who’s back, guess who’s back….

Yeah sorry.

This week Walrus King comes back for an episode that’s really funny for the first half, then not really funny for the other half. Listen now!

Episode CXXVIII: In the Land of Silly Hats

Surprise! This week we do have an episode! And look, FUNNY HATS!

This week M slams though lots of topics, but mostly movies are discussed. If you have an interest in Korean Cinema this is the episode for you. If not, well, uh…this is awkward.

Thanks for waiting a month for us to come back! We need some good long breaks every now and then. Here’s some great games I played in our absence-

  • Donkey Kong Country Returns
  • Kirby’s Epic Yarn
  • Epic Mickey
  • Assasin’s Creed II
  • Super Meat Boy

And great movies I watched-

  • True Grit
  • Tron: Legacy
  • Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone

Probably no episode this monday, but episode recording and games next Saturday.

So Sir Michael didn’t feel the need to tell me this until the last minute, but he’s in Texas. I swear the guy hops across the globe every week without telling everyone.

Since I had scheduled him to record for the weekend and he’s not home, there’s probably not going to be an episode this Monday. However, we’re all set to go for Saturday the 22nd. Seeing as Michael and I will be on to record, we’ll also be on to play games.

We’ll be on and rearing to play next Saturday. Although Sir Michael will probably leave for Cambodia for a week without telling anyone. (Don’t put it past him.)

Also it’s official…I’m hooked.

Episode XXV: Boom-Headshot

New Podcast Episode

This week Sir Michael and myself discuss great multi-player games like Left 4 Dead and Team Fortress 2, Nazi salutes, and lame animated endings.

This episode I set a finite number on the number of emails that convinces me that enough listeners want the background music back. 20 emails. A small sum. Lets see if enough people care.

Also should we have a Villainy INC Steam Group? Do you want to haxorz teh noobs zombies with us?

Again no new episode next week since I will be in Japan. I will be decimating my bank account buying Gundam Models and Pocky. I’ll try and take lots of pictures and come back with many stories.

God I love Nick. Not as much as Sir Michael though; he’s my husband.

Episode CXXII: BANZAI!

New Podcast EpisodeThis week Sir Michael returns to regale us of tales of school injustices and anime conventions. This episode I get to just sit back while Sir Michael led the show. It was nice.

Listen to it here.

Episode CXXI: The Podcasting Network

New Podcast EpisodeCelebrating our move to Mondays is Walrus King. That’s right it hasn’t been 94 months!

Many topics are covered. The last half of the  episode is pretty much dedicated to the Social Network. Facebook is huge now. You know you’ve hit the big time when you have your own movie. I hope all this doesn’t go to Facebook’s head.

Celebrate Mortals, Your Mondays Suck No Longer.

After careful consideration and a week of testing with lab mice and hammers, it’s been decided that Villainy INC is moving its release day to Monday.

While this show was a snap to make back in college, it has become much more difficult now that I have a job. In college I had an entire week to edit, trimming dialogue and adding background music. Now I have a weekend to get the show put together. The only days we can record are on the weekend. You see our dilemma?

However having the episodes go out on Monday’s gives me the entire weekend to record and slap it together. This takes almost all the stress out of currently making the show, and allows us to be more topical (episodes will go out a day after they were recorded).

Some of you will be dismayed by this news. Some of you will approach our gates with torches and pitchforks, demanding that our voices go out on Fridays. However, believe it or not, I have a scientifically proven method of giving you what you want. You see our show is a mp3 file that is downloaded or streamed to your computer. The file is always there, it doesn’t delete itself or disappear. So theoretically you could download the show on Monday, but save for Friday. I’M INGENIOUS!

Episode CXI: Massively Effected

New Podcast Episode

This week you’re all in for a treat. Jack Wall returns to the show for his second appearance on Villainy INC (third if you count the video podcast). Even cooler than that is he played some of his favorite tracks from Mass Effect 2 on the show and you all get to hear it. There’s even music that’s not in the actual game!

Refresh you’re music app of choice, click the link in the podcast player, or listen to it on the player below. I confound you with options.

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

In this episode Jack discusses what went into making the scores for Mass Effect 2 including musical inspirations, how the team collaborated, and how the music was implemented. Great stuff. There’s also some real fun moments that I don’t want to spoil.

Speaking of Mass Effect music, look what we have here? Seeing this only makes me want to play this game more!

Also as an added bonus here’s the full version of the Suicide Mission theme I found on youtube. Too awesome for words.

Episode CX: Pop Culture References

New Podcast Episode

The wait is over, Episode 110 is live on the server! Don’t worry the episode is well worth it since we covered a marathon of topics. Trololo, Star Wars, Transformers, it’s all there. Refresh your music app of choice or listen to it here.

Also we really want to start reading more listener mail and comments in our mail segment we’re renaming “The Fridge.”  As WK pointed out in the show, you guys writing into the show is like posting awesome things on our podcast fridge. We’ve always loved reading your guy’s stuff on air, so send in topics our things you find interesting for us to discuss!

Lastly here’s the video that I found in the episode and WK watched. Starts off slow but give it time. It’s worth it in the end.

New Episode Delayed

Sorry guys, but WK is having technical difficulties getting his audio to me this week. I still don’t have it, so unfortunately this week’s episode will have to be delayed. The episode will probably have to go out much later in the day Friday or Saturday (Sunday at the latest).

To help alleviate this problem in the future, do any of you guys know a good FTP program for Windows? If it’s free even better.
